In your face O'.. bam bam, truckin' along fight em out drum drums. :) I think this one is pretty damn cool myself. More or less this is a battle track. I even added my personal tribute to the Gustav Holst's "Mars: Bringer of War". Its very quick, and only a few notes. But, isn't that what film composers do anyway? Pick out 2-4 note sequence from classical music and build a song around it? Ya, its true... we all rip each other off. It's impossible to reinvent the wheel and do something that's never been heard before. Now, the question is; how do I make it turn faster and look prettier?

Awaken by a sudden body twitch, he opened his eyes not daring to move an inch. His mind wondered aimlessly while his eyes focused on its current surroundings. Somehow in his attempts to escape, he found himself laying in the emperial garden just below the observation deck 30 meters above. The lush plants towered high above graciously swaying in the artifical breeze that rushed throw the rusted vents to the north. Still confused with a pounding headache, he falls back down to the tall blades of grass. Lost. In the middle of 'nowhere'.

The piece starts out with an upbeat attitude and progresses to a sad/lonely feel. Then you feel sorry for the character as he comes to the realization that he's willing to do whatever it takes to make things work out with his wife as the music rises he finishes writing a letter.

A mysterious phone call leads the main character to discover some unimaginable photos. He rages to a furious chaos as the music builds to a heart pounding climax.

The News Arrives. "A Second More", starring Mike Fitch and John Jabroski... Directed by Jared Smith and Produced by Twenty One Productions w/ B3 Pictures. Saved by a knock on the door enters the detective played by Jabroski. The news of a discovered victim. The music turns to a more upbeat cue as a series of events stirs the music in various directions ending with a string serenade to roll out the credits.

He waited and watched patiently as the sky darkened and surrounded the land around him. The leaves started to lift towards the sky showing their undersides unwilling to give into the force that was pulling on them. The soaring fortress above was indeed no match for any living creature. It was much like a tornado, you could only hope it will miss you and the ones you love. He threw his arms in the air destined to fail and face the dance of the powers high up.

Silently she sat at the top of the massive staircase watching helplessly as the officer of the law explained the details of the unthinkable crime to her mother below. All the money and power in the world could not even manage to stop her worst fear of all. Death. What can be said or done as the mind floats in and out of pillars spiraling up the cold veins of the marble slabs beneath your feet? Slowly your eyes close shut as your chest begins to cave inwards and breathing becomes more and more difficult.

Here's a little something different for you guys. Its a small little eletronica track I did for the Starsiege MOD i'm working on. Kinda technoish..? or.. my lame attempt at least :) Eat your heart out Moby!

...Soaring high above the clouds, the highly guarded fort pours its shadow across the grassy plains killing all vegetation while forcing the planet's life out existence. The ruler of this forsaken place cares for no one and is content on wrecking the life of others. He will ultimately rip the land of its beauty and terrorize all that live there just as he has done so centuries before.

This track started out as a junkie demo piece for this $100 string library that I recently bought called, "Ultimate String Library" by "East West". Then, it snowballed, and like all my tracks goes off a tangent. So, listening to it, i felt a little sea battle brewing in the distance. It starts as an elogant dinner quickly changing the news to urgency scattering the men to their posts and it changes moods throughout and ends in a sad string section. Can you see it? No? See something else?

This little track more or less describes my constant wonder and thoughts of the future and what's in store with life itself and the direction it will take me. I keep reading about Mars, the planets, and cosmic exploration and can't help what the future brings us. I'm utterly fascinated by everything that is going on. Makes me mad though with all the damn technology we have today and they only show black and white photographs. What kind a b.s. is that? Damn NASA. Regardless... Things are picking up and looks as though its going full steam ahead. I keep running into roadblocks here and there and my cloud 9 continues to fluxuate +/- 3 points.

Ahhh.. the sweet radar of the familar opening choral chant to HALO sparked my inspiration to do this track. Full of energy, no room to breath and hopefully glorifies the magnificance of this wonderful game. Thanks to my brother who helped me come up with the name. He was staring at this plaster cruise ship hanging above our fireplace at the time and reminded him of a Naval Sea battle based around Master and Commander. So.. ya. what a better name.. The main character to HALO is a soldier simply titled, "Master Chief". I can't wait for HALO 2! Original score by Marty O'Donnell

A sombre tale of the last days of the old and a brighter look into the new. Sad Adaigo strings with a tribal style drums traveling through a 3 chord progression. This is a track I made for myself in a wake of a new Awakening. The next great chapter of my so called life. Whether you like it or not makes no difference to me.

What happens when you take the most beautiful voice imaginable, record it with a computer microphone, mix it down with a few sampled instruments and composed the piece inspired by one of the greatest stories of all time? I proudly present you my most elaborate project to date. Rise and Fall of Middle Earth (RAFOME) features the vocals of the multi-talented Miss LindsayAnne Klemm. Weighing in at 8 minutes 51 seconds, this track takes you on an adventurous journey through JRR Tolkin's LOTR universe filled with pure emotion and climatic battles of epic proportions.

This is a wip / almost finished track for upcoming trailer. One of those, "friggin' a... I can't seem to get it just right tracks". I like it. client wants to push me further. :\ You can only be pushed so much for so long before getting burned out.

"In earth". Inspirational music comes and goes for me. This happens to be one of them. It came to me while listening to "Am I Evil" 's track entitled, "Death on the Snowfield". A remix of the Final Fantasy VI Game track called, "Terra". I played these games as a kid, and I don't think it ever quite registered within me how much of an impact it had until I recently had my brain jumpstarted. Personaly, I think the song is beautiful, and I tried my best to convey some of those same emotions. Be sure to check out Amievil's tune. Orginal song by Nobuo Uematsu.

Marching Along. Dum dum. tee dum. Just sounded like a big ol' brute orc walking along a path mindless and aimlessly. Used by Marco Spionti (3d Artist) for an upcoming XBOX, PS2, GameCube, PC racing game trailer/demo.

This track was inspired from the Club/Rave scene in the Matrix Reloaded movie. Its a dance/trance styled piece, that takes you through a journey of the mind. I'm planning on adding musical instruments ala' Don Davis, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. You can find 3 loops on Flashkit taken from this piece.

A Variation of the pieced entitled, "Assault" I did a way back. Features the beautiful voical talents of Miss LindsayAnne Klemm.

This was actually used for a HALO training video. Reminds me a lot of the DeBeers Diamond commercial :)

The lone cruiser begins combat preparations as an enemy warship was sighted of to the starboard side. The crew runs frantically to bring cannons to bear and sharpshooters climbing the rigging. They know that they are outmatched; yet they believe in their captain’s abilities to lead them to victory. The captain knows that he must be shrewd and cunning to allow his sailors to return to port.

Finally, they face off! Through many daring maneuvers, the ship hammers the enemy vessel with cannon fire against the weapon mounts and knock the ship into near submission. Sharpshooters pick off uncovered flesh from above, and the enemy captain is killed, as well as the senior officers. With the ship in chaos, the white flag runs high.

During the battle, some of the cruiser’s rigging broke free and dangled next to the ship’s name, banging against the hull. Some say it was by chance; others believe that their faith in God and their Captain gave them the Strength and Valor to win. The tangled wood and rigging makes out a crude N beside the ship’s name, Edge…

Feels as though an army is coming in and taking over. The rescue has begun and the ellusive chase that follows.

The first part reminded me of the movie Unbreakable. Then, like all my tracks, it veers off into something bizzare. Kinda like my life. I'll do one thing, and my tangents go in one big loop de loop. I can't seem to walk a straight line for shit. Therefore I cover more ground but takes me a bit longer to get to the final destination.

As I sat down to actually read a book for the first time in over 6 years, I realize our fate is in the hands of those with power. Its those who control businesses, control the stock markets, and control the movie entertainment industry. Are these the roots of all evil? If so... Sign me up. One way or another we all hope and dream. For some, those dreams do come true. This piece started out as a simply piano solo and what do you know... I added more and more. Those people are just like you and I. Now... Get out there, step it up and make something of yourself.

Piercing rain, gigantean rolling waves, and raging gusts of wind slammed and beat against the planks and yet that never stopped the raiders of the sea from retreating the attack on the defenseless merchant ship.

The Story:

The madein voyage was now underway as the crew said their goodbyes the their loved ones as they left port. Drifting to sea, slowly the soft glows of the town faded in the distance as the glanced at each other with uncertainty. Hours turned to days... Days to weeks, and Weeks to months as they traveled to the unknown.

The sky began to grow dark while the clouds rolled overhead engulfing every shard of light cutting through clouds. In the distance, the crew spotted an approaching vessel from the east. Fear overcame the crew as they scurried around dropping goods overboard to pick up speed. The enemy was approaching fast and their transport vessel was no match for the elogant warship approaching.

The battle begins! I liked to say that they stole/(gathered ideas) from my piece and used it in the first "Master and Commander" trailer. If you get a chance to se download it.. See for yourself. :\

In memory of DeAnna Friend. Life is short sometimes, so go out there and live it to the fullest. Tragically she was taken away from us all on October 10th, 2002 on a dreary cold and rainy day. After hearing the news, I sat down and composed this piece. 8:15 of pure emotion.

Traveling Dark. This track has an interesting tribal beat, mixed with the sadness of nowhere to go. I wanted a more mellow out and chill tune for you guys. One you could sit down with the phones, and loop a few times without getting annoyed. The ending has a sad adiago of strings similar to my track, "Fallen Legions"

A story??? Sure.

The night crept in as the temperature dropped to a chilling bliss. Staring up at the sky you begin close your eyes only to concentrate on the cracking of the massive limbs of the trees above. Left and right they come crashing down around you. The wind picks up causing a hard, dry crackling noises in the distance. Arms are raised, eyes still closed, you feel the chilling cold run down your body. It feels like the creatures are all around you and they will pounce at any given moment.

Opening your eyes, you look around. You stand comfortably in a clear spot of the forest only to look all around to be surrounded by an recent ice storm war against the trees and other inanimate objects. I ask my little brother, "Jared. What were you doing outside at 4 in the morning with your arms raised up anyways?", "I dunno" he replied. "ya. Ok."

What a dumb story. But true.

HALO... Hands down my most favorite game to play. After playing multiple rounds of "drink point" with my brother, I came to realize I really enjoyed the music. The next day I started to humm the theme. If a theme can do that to me.. its gota be an inspirational. Either that or the Morgan's and Dr. Pepper started to trickle into me' brain.
