- Three new LIVE orchestral cues added to the music player. The three tracks were recorded with the San Fransicso orchestra at Skywalker Ranch. City of Gold, No Honor No Glory, and Call to Duty. Call to Duty was originally a trailer piece I wrote for Brandon Morris's film, "Raiders Over Tokyo"

"New Stuff" -

welp... I've created a BUNCH of new stuff.. but I've been slacking on the updates here at my edgen.com site. So, instead of typing everything out again, you can just click HERE to see the new stuff and listen. I'll update this page when I release new albums or really awesomeness stuff that's so awesome I can't retain my stupidness.



One thing that comes to mind that's just so awesomeness is a new trailer I just finished and to announce I'm scoring a new Star Trek mini series called, "Of Gods and Men" starring some of the original cast members to Star Trek and the TV shows. It is scheduled to be released over the internet only sometime in April.

Other stuff was that my music was recently in the SONY Pictures film, 'Stomp The Yard' TV Trailer. I personally have not seen the spot yet. Guess I need to watch more TV eh?

Another cool thing was that the film, "Where Silence Falls" placed 2nd in the online short film competition, DVXuser.com DramaFest. It was directed by Norm Sanders. I have also released a bunch of music from the other 3 films I scored for the competition.

YEssssss!! I'm finally getting a chance to record one of my cues with my friends at X-Ray Dog music. The piece I chose to do is naturally from my Kings and Kingdoms Project called, "Vengeance". After a few Modifications to the track, It will be shipped off to the orchestrator and Off to Seattle we go! I'll release a small clip online once it's been professionally mixed down and ready to go! This will be my first cue to ever grace a full Orchestra!

GOod golly I've got a lot of new stuff that I just haven't posted here. Most of my new tunes can be found at my 'listen or reel' section of my site so if you are ever curious to see what I'm working on, head on over. Some pieces are finished, and others are simply quick sketches and works in progress that will most likely get scrapped to the wayside.

I'm working on my new album along with combining about 2-3 other albums with various soundtracks. One of which is my friends over at Twenty One Productions. I'm going to release a compilation album of all our films. Good times. Good times indeed.

"New Year" - update

Welp.. its been a while since my last update and oh what a year. Happy late new years everyone! Ya.

Well, I finished writing the screen play to Kings and Kingdoms - Episode I. I don't have a solid name as of yet, but I'll probably think of that the last minute. I do say that's its badass. You can read more here along with a few other updates.

"A Tale From Woodland Hills" - Short Film

My Friends and I recently just wrapped up a short film written and directed by Jared Smith starring Brooke Mashay and Cameron Bender. I had to jump into a friggin' freezing pool to get an underwater shot as Brooke got pushed in. Brrrr Rabbbit!

Anyway, I'm scoring the soundtrack. Imagine that? :)

The Shoot was two days, about 16 hours worth of shooting.

So its official... They are planning on making a live action version of game HALO and LOTR Director Peter Jackson, is exec. producing the film. I watched an online video of him stating he was going to keep to the original game as much as possible which is fantastic news! So, I decided to make a 'suite' with various movements within to depic a few of the scenes with the UNSC Spartans.

Small bands can cover Major Label songs. Why should that limit us fans? I just don't have a bar to play this type of music nor would everyone appreciate it. Of course this piece is my own Epic rendition of Marty O'Donnell's original HALO theme.

Yup. Like all websites, its time for a change. So, i'm currently re-organizing my work. Adding new. Archiving Old. Stripping it down and streamlining everything.

When? I have no frackin' clue. Could be next week. Perhaps next Month. Perhaps next year.

I also recently moved from Lexington, KY to Los Angeles, CA in July, 2005 to pursue my film scoring career. The move has taken a toll on some of my work and pushed everything behind schedule. I packed whatever could fit in my car and I made the 4 day journey to the Land that Floweth of Milk and Honey. A New Life perhaps? Yep. I think so. Ya know the worst part? After 2 months of living here, I'm still sleeping on an air matress and my papers and office equipment are stacked in a nice pile on my floor. Its expensive here, so I still have no shame of living on the noodles. Yes. You know what noodles I'm talking about. :)

Oooh my oh my. I've added a shitton of stuff! But.. none of which, you will ever see. I've drawn sooo many storyboards, added a few more tracks, and a TON of illustrations all for investors :) That's right. K&K is getting some major attention and there's high hopes of turning this project into a major motion picture. Ultimately a Triology or possibly a mini series.

However, I have added a few other things on the main site. One of which is a short story/poem by the talented writer, J.M.H. Raney. Raney is helping me develop an expanded storyline and will bring new life to this already rich story.

I've also added a few storyboards from the opening act as well.

I went on a trip to Austin, Texas this past weekend and wouldn't you know there's nothing to do on a jet plane and at the airports so I decided to do a few drawings. Well, It turned into 16 of them! I have introduced another Race in the Kings and Kingdoms project called, "The Keyes". They are relatively unknown civiliazation who inhabit the South. I also included a creature that will inhabit the lands. Watch out for these little guys. They are very tricky, quick, and can 'direct' your attention elsewhere.

Gaining the power of the world ultimately has its tragic misfortunes. The King of the west demanded his son to marry a beautiful princess that would inherit the lands in the east but through a series of unseen circumstances, fate kept the two from becoming one. The prince she was to marry was not the one she loved for her heart lay elsewhere. Outraged by her lack of cooperation, the King plotted a kidnapping and inprisonered her in the hidden ice caves to the north. Her murder is what fuels a savage and brutal war between the East and the West and has continued for centuries. Her one true love vowed revenge and would spare no one.

Kings and Kingdoms is a personal project now in the works which will be a complete album in itself. The album will consist of a written storylines for each track along with artwork created by myself.
