Edgen Animations - Music for Film and TV

December 17th, 2006

Hello Everyone!

OK, so for the longest time I stressed, "Sign up for the newsletter and I"ll promise not to spam your inbox too often". Welp, it's been a little under a year since my last update and for that I'm super sorry. But alas, a LOT has happened since then. I don't want to bore you, but you never know what you may love/like or absolutely despise. :)

To re-cap who I am: I'm Justin. you signed up for my mailing list :) (or someone did for you). I make "Upliftingly Dark" Film and Video Game music and I'm currently on a quest for world domination. :) www.edgen.com is my site. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, CA (Burbank area) and I've been out here since July of 2005 from my home town back in Kentucky.

Second off. Happy Holidays. Or.. Sad Holidays. I know the world doesn't go the way we plan all the time and it's those hard times that keep us on our toes and remember, there's always someone else out there that's worse off than yourself.

'nuff of the sentimental holiday cheer...

On with the Hotness!

Kings and Kingdoms

"Kings and Kingdoms"

LIVE MUSIC cue now Online:

One of my cues, "Vengeance" was recorded Live with the Seattle, Sinfonia Orchestra this past July and it was a glorious experience. I was lucky enough to travel with the super cool guys from X-Ray Dog Music ( www.x-raydogmusic.com ) and as their assistant, I asked, "Hey, do you think you'll have an extra 20-30 minutes laying around that I could tackle with the orchestra?" Luckily... they said "yep".

So Alas, I found a suitable cue that could license with their library of music and the one 3:00 track tuned into 4 solid cues to their latest music library of music.

And, for this update, you can finally hear my cue, "The Armada" (which is a Live Cue clip from "Vengeance")

Additional Film Scores/Music:

++ "X-Ray Dog Music"

I'm currently working for the absolutely wonderful folks at X-Ray Dog Music. I've contributed some of my music to their recent library, so when you head to the theatres, chances are, you'll hear some of their work. Their creative outlook on life, and amazing dramatic orchestral cues rival those of the highest caliber composers of today. Only thing is... they wish to stay below the radar. How cool is that?! :)

++ "The Roman"
I recently completed the score to the short film, "The Roman" by: Alexander Bornstein. I had the help of the UBER talented composer and friend, Manuel Matshke. He also helped me score the DVXuser HorrorFest film, "Memories". Thanks Manu!
